LOCATION: Tehran Str. - Mashhad - Iran
CONSTRUCTION AREA: 8064 m2
PROJECT TYPE: Academic - Individual
PROJECT LEVEL: B.Sc. Design Studio IIII - Winter 2015
SUPERVISOR: Ph.D. Mahmoud Feizabadi
The project's aim is to create a bio-mall, which is defined as a place with the
following principles: Organically shaped - Elements such as water, light,
and plant. Bio-mall is inspired by the architecture of the traditional Iranian
Bazaars, with a modern taste.
The concept is to create a central gathering point from which the functional
zones are organically shaped; This gathering point is the focal point
of the project where the users are invited.
The geometric inspiration was a hexagonal grid adopted from wasps
nest, and methodologically, I used grasshopper and the principle of the attractor
point to deform the hexagonal grid towards the central focal point.
